This contemporary basket has been handwoven using a variety of willow called Brittany Green, grown on the Somerset levels, complimented with the pink tones of locally-grown willow. It features a variation of French Randing weave and the distinctive open Irish Pairing weave which was traditonally used on donkey creels.
