SHIPPING OUTSIDE THE UK

We currently only ship within the UK as standard through our online shop .

Online shop/available work: If you are an international customer and have seen a piece you like that is currently available on our online shop, please email us to request a shipping quote (info@hopewoodbaskets.co.uk). Please bear in mind that we can not reserve 'ready-made' pieces from our online shop collections until the shipping costs have been agreed; if the piece you wanted is sold before shipping costs are agreed we can let you know our lead time for commissioned work.

Our payment method for orders outside the UK is Paypal. We send out the payment details for this when the order and shipping costs are confirmed. Shipping costs include: courier/shipping cost, packaging costs and currency exchange rate fees incurred through overseas payments. Excluded from the shipping costs are: customs and duty taxes/fees, courier fees for importing. By purchasing from us and agreeing to our international shipping cost, you are also agreeing to pay any additional taxes and charges relating to clearing your goods through customs, and are agreeing to take responsibility for regularly checking tracking information provided.
We advise our overseas customers to note that orders shipped overseas are sent on a delivery duty unpaid basis (with the exception of some US orders). Please check with your local government customs office, prior to placing an order, to see if you need to pay import duty or any additional taxes that may apply to your country of delivery.

Hopewood Baskets does not accept any liability for additional taxes and charges relating to clearing your goods through customs. These are the responsibility of the customer.

It is the responsibility of the customer to regularly check tracking information and to contact us if there are any issues with the parcel(s) clearing customs as soon as possible. We will endeavour to help you resolve the issue, but we do not take responsibility for arranging payment of taxes.

If a parcel is returned to us due to the custom taxes no being paid by the customer, we will refund the value of the item(s) only (so long as the item/s are of a sellable condition).

DISPATCH

We aim to dispatch your item(s) within 5 working days of receiving your payment, with delivery within 10 working days (UK addresses). Instructions for the courier can be added at the checkout; although please note we can not guarantee these will be adhered to. As soon as your items have been packed, and collection by the courier has been arranged, you will receive an email with your tracking number.

For bespoke and commission orders, we will give you a shipping quote and be in touch to confirm your order; advising you of an approximate lead-time to make the product and when to expect delivery.

UK RETURNS
​
If you are not happy with your purchase from our main, full-price collection, you have 14 days from the order being delivered to you to notify us that you would like to return the item. You then have a further 14 days of receipt of delivery to return the item(s) to us. All items must be returned undamaged and in original saleable condition.
All returns are sent back at the customer’s own cost and own risk. We would advise using a reputable courier, as the parcel is not our responsibility until we sign for it. A full refund, minus our original postage costs, will then be made within 10 days via the original method of payment.

We carefully check and inspect all of our work prior to shipping. However, if any faults or damage are found upon receipt of the item, customers need to notify us by email (info@hopewoodbaskets.co.uk) within 7 days of receipt of the goods. A refund will be arranged and we will do all we can to resolve the issue.

Commissioned work and bespoke items may only be returned if they are faulty or damaged. In the unlikely event that this happens please notify us within 7 days of receiving your goods.

INTERNATIONAL RETURNS

Due to the complexities of customs/duty taxes, we do not accept returns from overseas customers. If items are returned to us due to unpaid custom taxes, we will refund the cost of the item(s) (if in a sellable condition), but we will not refund the cost of the shipping.
