Zarzo Flower Basket Workshop: 1 day course
Saturday 12th April 2025
On this one day workshop, you will be guided by Sarah to create a Zarzo Flower Basket - a modern interpretation of a traditional Spanish basket, creating a sculptural yet functional piece for everyday life. The course aims to give a gentle introduction to the wonderful material of willow, whilst allowing you time to enjoy the mediative qualities of the rhythmical weaving patterns involved; a perfect choice for anyone new to willow weaving or for those who are looking to step away from the busy world to experience the calming processes that basketry can offer.

3rd + 4th May 2025 - Fully booked
Our asymmetric basket has been designed with days out in mind, whether in the woods in Spring picking wild garlic, or collecting chestnuts in autumn. This workshop has been developed especially for beginners as an ideal shape and sized basket to introduce you to a few key techniques, with enough time to practise these skills before moving on; weaving in a small group of just 6-8 people, Sarah will be on hand to guide you through each process. After two days you will have your very own gathering basket to take away with you.
