Meet the makers

Hopewood Baskets is a creative partnership between Sarah Loughlin and Marcus Wootton, two artisan basketmakers committed to crafting functional baskets and sculptural vessels that combine traditional skills with a modern aesthetic.

Working collaboratively from their studio in Worcestershire, they create unique handwoven baskets from sustainably sourced materials, including willow grown locally at their own osier beds. The name Hopewood pays tribute to the natural materials they use within their work, and celebrates the hopeful experience that making gives them.

The New Naturals exhibition

We are delighted to have a selection of our work exhibited as part of The New Naturals - an immersive exhibition curated by interiors editor & stylist Jennifer Haslam. Inspired by the founding ethos of Another Country and Haslam’s celebrated book, the show explores how renewable, low-impact materials are reshaping contemporary design.

2-30 June 2025

Another Country, London
